Colours and shapes are made together here, and then colours are mixed, which is the first time a child causes a new colour to exist. Lines, dots and patterns follow, and the course ends on rhyme.
The KG Art & Rhymes course is two units, taken in order: Colours and Lines, Dots and Rhymes.
There are 4 lessons here and 23 questions in total, roughly 20 minutes of teaching. At this age two or three short sittings a week is plenty, and a child who wants to repeat a lesson is consolidating rather than stalling.
This is step 2 of 7 in Art & Rhymes. Nothing is locked, so if these lessons are easy the next grade is one tap away, and if they are hard the grade below is too.

Art moves from colour and shape, to pattern, to the crafts that build on both. Children learn primary and secondary colours, then lines and shapes, then repeating pattern, and then simple making with paper, drawing and traditional craft ideas.

Levels and scoring
Each lesson plays at Explorer, Challenger or Champion. Only first-try answers count towards stars, so a retry never inflates a score, and a lesson is mastered at 90 percent at Challenger or above. See how a lesson works for the full explanation.

How long does KG Art & Rhymes take?
4 short lessons and 23 questions, roughly 20 minutes in all. There is no schedule to keep and nothing expires, so a few minutes at a time is a perfectly good way to do it.
Is my child old enough for KG Art & Rhymes?
Ages 4 to 5 is the guide, but go by what your child can already do rather than by age. Nothing is locked for a visitor, so trying the level above or below costs nothing and takes one tap.
Is KG Art & Rhymes free?
Yes, and without the usual catch. No account is needed, there is no advertising and there are no in-app purchases. It also works with no connection once the site is added to a home screen, or through the free Android app.
Does my child need art materials?
No. Every lesson can be answered on screen. Where a lesson suggests making something, it uses paper and pencil rather than anything that has to be bought.
