2 lessonsWhat the KG General Knowledge course covers
This course looks at the people and things a child meets outside the house: community helpers and how we travel. It then returns to animals, this time their homes and their babies, and finishes on fruits and vegetables.
The KG General Knowledge course is two units, taken in order: People and Transport and Animal Homes, Fruit and Vegetables.
There are 4 lessons here and 25 questions in total, roughly 20 minutes of teaching. At this age two or three short sittings a week is plenty, and a child who wants to repeat a lesson is consolidating rather than stalling.
This is step 2 of 5 in General Knowledge. Nothing is locked, so if these lessons are easy the next grade is one tap away, and if they are hard the grade below is too.
How General Knowledge is taught here
General knowledge starts with the everyday world a child can point at, colours, shapes, animals, jobs and transport, and then widens to countries, landmarks and how ordinary things around the house actually work.
How General Knowledge runs from playgroup to Grade 5 sets out the full sequence and where this course sits in it.
Levels and scoring
Each lesson plays at Explorer, Challenger or Champion. Only first-try answers count towards stars, so a retry never inflates a score, and a lesson is mastered at 90 percent at Challenger or above. See how a lesson works for the full explanation.
Questions parents ask
How long does KG General Knowledge take?
4 short lessons and 25 questions, roughly 20 minutes in all. There is no schedule to keep and nothing expires, so a few minutes at a time is a perfectly good way to do it.
Is my child old enough for KG General Knowledge?
Ages 4 to 5 is the guide, but go by what your child can already do rather than by age. Nothing is locked for a visitor, so trying the level above or below costs nothing and takes one tap.
Is KG General Knowledge free?
Yes, and without the usual catch. No account is needed, there is no advertising and there are no in-app purchases. It also works with no connection once the site is added to a home screen, or through the free Android app.
Is this just trivia?
No. The early units are the vocabulary of the everyday world, which is what reading comprehension later depends on. The wider facts come only once that base is there.
