This is the widest of the general knowledge courses. It covers transport and nature together, then animal facts, then the world at large, and ends on countries and landmarks alongside the inventions behind everyday things.
The Grade 3 General Knowledge course is two units, taken in order: Our World and Its Animals and Landmarks and Inventions.
The course runs to 4 numbered lessons and 23 written questions, around 20 minutes of teaching. Most families take it over a few weeks. Each attempt draws a different set of questions, so repeating a lesson is practice rather than recall of the answer order.
This is the last General Knowledge course on the site. Nothing is locked, so if these lessons are easy the next grade is one tap away, and if they are hard the grade below is too.
How General Knowledge is taught here
General knowledge starts with the everyday world a child can point at, colours, shapes, animals, jobs and transport, and then widens to countries, landmarks and how ordinary things around the house actually work.
How General Knowledge runs from playgroup to Grade 5 sets out the full sequence and where this course sits in it.
Levels and scoring
Each lesson plays at Explorer, Challenger or Champion. Only first-try answers count towards stars, so a retry never inflates a score, and a lesson is mastered at 90 percent at Challenger or above. See how a lesson works for the full explanation.
Questions parents ask
How long does the Grade 3 General Knowledge course take?
4 lessons and 23 questions, about 20 minutes of teaching. There is no streak to maintain and no deadline, so it can be done in one sitting or spread out.
What age is Grade 3 General Knowledge for?
Ages 7 to 8 is the guide, but go by what your child can already do rather than by age. Nothing is locked for a visitor, so trying the level above or below costs nothing and takes one tap.
Is Grade 3 General Knowledge free?
Yes, and without the usual catch. No account is needed, there is no advertising and there are no in-app purchases. It also works with no connection once the site is added to a home screen, or through the free Android app.
Is this just trivia?
No. The early units are the vocabulary of the everyday world, which is what reading comprehension later depends on. The wider facts come only once that base is there.
