Grade 3 is where maths stops being about single numbers and starts being about how numbers are built. Place value, multiplication and the first fractions all rest on the same idea of grouping.
In language, writing moves past the single sentence, and a child is expected to hold an idea across several of them.

The concepts that carry the most weight
- Place value is the hinge. A child who understands that the 3 in 342 means three hundreds has a route into every larger number, and one who does not will guess.
- Fractions are the first number a child meets that is not a count, and treating them as two separate numbers is the most common misconception at this age.
- Multiplication and division are the same idea seen from two ends. Teaching them apart makes both harder.

- Is this aligned to a curriculum?
- The sequence follows Pakistan's Single National Curriculum, and the content is bilingual in English and Urdu throughout.
- How does the difficulty adapt?
